Unfamiliar: I do not use much technology at all and would need help just getting started.
Competent (basic): I use some technologies to support my learning such as for writing notes, essays, and reports. I can use the basic tools with which I am provided (such as the VLE/LMS (eg Blackboard, Moodle, Sakai, Canvas) used in my institution) but need training and support to be able to go beyond the basics.
Comfortable (intermediate): I am reasonably comfortable using a range of technologies to support my learning, including the VLE/LMS (eg Blackboard, Moodle, Sakai, Canvas) to submit my coursework and access notes. I can use and install software on my own devices, including useful apps on my phone or tablet that help with gathering and organising notes and information.
Confident (advanced): I am confident in my use of technologies to support learning, including tools for referencing, producing presentations, linking and sharing ideas and sources, helping me to test my progress, and to make sense of my subject. I am able to advise and support others in the effective use of technologies for learning, and in making purchase recommendations.
